QME Regulations for Bi-Annnual Reappointment

Requires 16 Hrs of CE starting

April 01, 2026

 

The 16 Hrs must include 2 Hrs of

'Anti-Bias Training'

This QME CE Requirement Applies To All Disciplines & Specialties

(MD, DO, DC, PhD, PsyD, DDS, DPM, LAc, etc.)

 

QME Seminars

All QME renewal/continuing education 8 hour ‘Live Seminars’

are approved by the DWC-Medical Unit

 

Available  By Distance Learning:

(which can be taken independently from a 'live seminar)

12 Hrs QME CE credit

2 Hrs 'Anti-Bias Training' CE credit

Therefore the ‘Live Seminar’ + the ‘Distance Learning’ exercise option 

will provide all CE requirements and will provide more than the 16 Hrs of CE required for QME biannual reappointment starting April 01,2026

For Doctors of Chiropractic Only

For Doctors of Chiropractic only, all QME  ‘Live Seminars’ are also approved 

by the Board of Chiropractic Examiners (BOCE) and also available through Distance Learnnig are the mandatory/required subjects of 'Ethics & Law'  and 'History Taking & Physical Exam Procedures' for 6 Hrs each.

Therefore the 'Live Seminar' plus both Distance Leaning exercises will provide DCs with a total of 20 Hrs or CE re-licensing credits.

(Remember that the BOCE will only allow 12 or the 24 Hrs required for annual re-licensing to be through Distance Learning.)
